Arsenal – Manchester United. 3-1: "Cannonies" in stoppage time with Rice and Jesus
At -2 from the top the Londoners, at -6 the Red Devils
Arsenal welcomed Manchester United in the big game of the 4th game of the Premier League and got a great victory with 3-1 with two goals, from Rice and Jesus, in stoppage time, as a result of which they remained at -2 from the leader Manchester City, with the Red Devils on the other hand stay at -6.
The home team wanted at all costs to return to winning ways in order not to lose any more ground and had a great chance in the 13' with Havertz, who... did not find the ball to send it into the net. That was the only good moment in the first 20 minutes, to be followed by two goals within a minute.
In the 27th minute, Rashford took Eriksen's cross on the counter-attack and finished the period as it should for 0-1, with Odegaard responding immediately and equalizing immediately after, in the 28th minute, after Martinelli's pass.
So it was 1-1 and everything looked like that would be the final result as both teams missed as many chances as they created in the second half while Garnazzo's goal for United in the 88th minute was disallowed by VAR for offside by inches, until they came the delays...
In 96' Rice took the shot after the corner kick and the ball also found Evans and ended up in the net for 2-1, with Arsenal scoring a third goal in 101' with a nice action by Jesus on the counter attack (3- 1).
