Some valuable tips to keep your best friend healthy and strong, at any age.

How to help your pet live to a ripe old age

Among the world's greatest injustices is that dogs and cats , AKA man's most popular pets, have a much shorter life expectancy than us, barely reaching 15-16 years, depending on the breed. However, even this age is not a given for our beloved animals.

What we can do is improve their quality of life and maintain their good health as they grow older and move into old age. The ways to achieve this are few and simple, but it is good to observe them reverently:

1. Internal and external deworming

Deworming is essential to prevent diseases caused by internal and external parasites such as fleas and ticks. A periodic deworming program with innovative treatments that offer long-term protection is recommended for senior pets.

2. Vaccination plan

As in humans, vaccines are necessary to prevent disease in dogs and cats. In old age, their immune systems may be weakened, so it is vital to keep their vaccination schedule up to date.
